New Year 2026 (Discussing Goals)

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2026 brings all of you plenty of reasons to smile.

I didn’t quite meet my goal for 2025, which (if you remember) was to post three new updates to my website. I got one short update done at the beginning of the year, and then… nothing until an even smaller update at the end of the year. Whoops! My mistake.

Half of the issue was that I was much busier in my personal life than I anticipated. Trying to balance both studying and working left little time for drawing. I still had some time, though, so where are the comics?

The other half of the issue has to do with time management. I had about five different projects I was working on last year that are all currently in a half-complete state. If I had chosen three and stuck to them I might have been able to reach my goal…! But, then again, I had fun working on all five of those projects, so I don’t regret it.

My goal for this year is exactly the same as last years, which is something that I’m sure never ends in disaster. I’m going to polish up some of those half-finished projects and finally share them. I hope you look forward to seeing what I’ve been working on!

Until I have something to share, why don’t you read Rosa’s comic IT GIRL on Petal & Leaf? She spent all of last year working on it, and I helped a bit with development and story editing, so I can cheat and say that’s something I worked on last year too.

New Page: Garden Guardians T-Shirt Gallery

New page on the Garden Guardians website! It’s not a comic, but it’s something I’ve wanted to add for a while.

Did anyone else (when they were children) sometimes get those little magazines for kids that had craft ideas based on the latest cartoon movie? I have fond memories of doing some of those crafts together with my mother. I wanted to create a page on the website with the same idea.

I might add some more crafts, but those will come later. As for CH2B of Garden Guardians, it’s in the works! I have something else that I want to get done first, but I am working on Garden at the same time.

HAVE YOU BEEN STARTING THE PODCAST?

Season 4 of Ready2StartCast has been the longest season yet. It’s time to test the Startcasters’ memories.

I produced and edited this video! Late last year I approached Ryan with the idea for putting on a Startcast quiz in the style of popular British panel shows, and she was very happy to help me put it together.

Thank you for the Startcast team for helping out, and in particular to Rosa for designing the set. This was a monster to edit but I’m very happy with how everything came together.

New Comic: Garden Guardians Chapter 2A

I’ve uploaded the first part of chapter 2 of Garden Guardians. I’m excited to get into the story more, and I hope you enjoy it if you decide to give it a read.

Special thanks to my friend Erika who helps me with all of my graphic design, including Natsu’s t-shirt in this chapter. It’s a big help because I will die if I have to do graphic design. That’s how things work in my mind, anyway.
